There are many reason why you should clean your concrete at least a few times a year.  I suggest doing it in the spring time and then once more in late fall.  This will get rid of any of the salt deposits your car brought in from the winter and keep your concrete from deteriorating.  It worked pretty well, but I suggest renting a power washer with a psi of 3000.  This will get deep into the concrete surface and get all the grime out.  After you have gone over the whole surface do it one more type using a concrete soap, just remember to work the soap around with a broom or scrub brush.  There are many different kinds of concrete soap and they all work about the same, just ask an employee at your local hardware store.  If you have oil and rust spots you have more cleaning to go.  Removing these kinds of stain can prove to be difficult.  The best product we have found is called “Orange TKO”.  My brother and I actually found the product at a home show we were working (An orange TKO dealer was in the both next to us).  I told him we would buy a couple bottles if he could pass just one test.  Remove a mustard stain in carpet, and not the carpet he brought with him for demonstrations, the carpet of the showroom.  He accepted the challenge so my brother ran up to the concession stand and got a few mustards packs, the mustard went into the carpet and he toke the stain out.  You couldn’t even tell.  So we bought a couple bottles as promised and now use them on a daily bases on everything you could imagine.  We mix the ratio’s as the direction say and apply the product to the stains and most of the time we make it disappear.  Understand some stains are permanent as they have dyed the concrete and all you’ll be doing is making one really clean stain.  Oil stains shouldn’t be a problem with “Orange Tko” but stain from battery acid at best can only be lighted.  If you have mildew stains in your concrete mix up some bleach and water in a 5 gallon bucket and brush it in.  This will kill the mildew and you can now clean the surface.  If you are perpairing for an concrete overlay the proper instructions are in our Ebook.
